In April 2007, YouTube featured a very old video on their front page.
It was young guitarist named Bob Kilgore, playing an original tune called
"Tap Dance".  The video was featured for three days, and in that time
hundreds of thousands of people saw him play.  He got fan mail.

Too bad he quit playing guitar over 12 years earlier.

That might have been the end of the story, but thanks to the persistent
encouragement of his family and friends, Bob picked up his guitar again
and camped out in the woodshed for two more years.

Bob is a lot older now, and feels a bit like Rip van Winkle, but he's back.

The tune that made Bob famous on YouTube is Track #3 on this CD!

"Epicycles" includes over an hour of Bob Kilgore's early recordings,
featuring compositions inspired by Michael Hedges, John McLaughlin
and Steve Reich.

Bob plays acoustic guitars, with some of his hand-made prototypes for
the Harmonic Capo.

Bob is joined by his brother Bear on keyboards.  Nice, fat, analog
keyboards!

Long before this CD collection ever existed, Bob made a cassette tape of
some of these same recordings and mailed it off to his hero, Michael
Hedges.  Soon after, Michael called Bob and arranged to meet him after
a show he was doing in Baltimore.  They only met that one time, but
Michael Hedges was the first other guitarist to ever see and play one of
Bob's Harmonic Capos.  He was impressed, so say the least, but his
favorite of Bob's tunes didn't use the capo.  That tune is Track #10.

Bob plays acoustic guitars, with some of his hand-made prototypes for
the Harmonic Capo.

Bob is again joined by his brother Bear on keyboards.
